In episode 29 of the No Harm Health and Safety Podcast, Marv visits Mike Sullivan from the Canadian Common Ground Alliance and Alberta One Call. Marv learns that comprehensive legislation for preventing damage to federally regulated underground infrastructure does not exist in Canada.

Damage to underground infrastructure is avoided 99% of the time whenever a locate request is placed with a one-call notification centre. Provincial damage prevention legislation in Ontario has reduced damages to underground infrastructure in that province by 60%.

Federal legislation is required to protect people and property so the Canadian Common Ground Alliance is supporting Bill S-229 and they need you to support the bill too. Listen to this episode and you'll learn more about the issue and how you can support Bill S-229.
